Sharks U/10  -  26/2/10

After a brief shower our Friday night game began. It was great to see that the kids were still enthusiastic and got out onto the field to enjoy one of their last games. We had a shaky start but that didn’t dampen our spirits and we convincingly fought back producing a game that kept us all entertained and on the edge of our seats.
There was a record number of fly balls caught and many close calls too. Well done Guy, who caught two and to Chris and Drew. Mitchell, Jordy N, Izaac, Adele, Drew and Paul also fielded the outs that kept us in the game and put the pressure on our opposition.
Drew and Guy pitched for us, it’s fantastic to see our team hitting so well off them. It’s a big confidence boost for the players and gives them a taste to what lies ahead next season for those who are moving up to Little league. Paul hit our third homer for the season, congratulations! Today’s player of the match was awarded to Eli who base running wasn’t to be reckoned with, what an improvement!

Sharks U/10 - 13/2/10

This game exhibited our strength in batting, with most hits out into the out field, however Paul and Adele were our only two bag hitters. Runaway Bay’s fielding improved throughout the second half of the game, which put the pressure on our base running. It is very important to run quickly, listen to the base coaches’ directions and when asked to slide to do so as this could be the difference from being called out or safe.
Our fielding was awesome, there was great teamwork and talking amongst the players, this is really good to see as it shows me that the players are thinking about future moves and are working together.  Jordy N, Izaac, JJ, Paul were responsible for the tags and put outs on the bases and Guy caught two line drives out on short stop.
Eli was awarded player of the match for he’s continual positive attitude and effort he gives each week and he’s strength as a batter.

Sharks U/10   -   06/02/2010

Welcome back Sharks! It is awesome to see everyone still keen and putting in 100%. We had a great game to start to the year and I think that the parents would agree that it kept us on the edge of our seats. Our hitting was strong, with most players hitting at least one ball into the outfield. Well done to Jordon who was responsible for our only two bag hit.  Our fielding was a little rusty, however we put in a great effort. Izaac, Paul, Drew and Adele were involved with the outs at pitcher and 1st. Congratulations to Adele who was awarded this week’s player of the match for her awesome debut job at pitcher.

Sharks u 10's  12th December
Melissa & I could not be prouder of our Sharks than we are today. What a great game! The batting practise really paid off, many of our hits were solid. Mitchell, Jordy, Chris and Eli all had outfield hits, Paul had two hits and Kyle had three.
 
Issac and Paul were responsible for many of our outs which made it difficult for the opposition to get to first.Paul was player of the match for continued model behaviour and all round awesome playing.

Eli and Paul were this weeks two base hitters. Paul also did a fantastic opening to the match with a great fly catch and put out at first.

Sharks u 10's  28th November 
After a slow start our team picked up the pace  to demonstrate how well we can field when we put our minds to it. There were great first base combinations, well done Guy & Paul. Drew and Kyle took two great fly catches. Eli, Adele, MItchell and Jordan were responsible for many outs at second and third. Our hitting can be improved and we will work on that at training.
 
Man of the match was Guy for his great attitude and improvement in the field.

Sharks U/10 - 21/11/2009 Score: 18 to 18
Today’s game was game played with our bats. Both sides struggled on the field however both sides batted very well. It was a very hot morning and having had no training during the week it was nice to see the team rely on previous training sessions.
Their were no stands out people on the field this week however Jordan & Eli both hit 2 baggers and our Player of the Match JJ hit our 2nd homerun for the year, Congrats JJ!

Again the team worked really well together. It was rewarding to see the fly ball training payed off with 2 awesome Foul Fly catchers by Chris & JJ. Congratulations to Jordan, Chris, Eli & Paul who all hit 2 baggers.
The next coming weeks at training we will be focusing on base running as we have noticed our runners are not always paying attention. Chris performed legendary this week and earned him Player of the Match.

The kids played with real conviction & confidence today, which made us really proud. Well Done!!
However Kyle stood out to us with his encouraging remarks on the field, he was also involved in many of our plays as usual he hit well and caught a great fly on pitcher. Congratulations Kyle for receiving Player of the Match.

Sharks U/10 - 31/10/2009  Score: 9 to 13

The hot weather today really challenged us, however we managed to keep our chin up & do our best.
Izaac, Guy, Adele, JJ & Eli all hit great outfield hits. Jordan, Guy & Eli were responsible for the outs at 2nd base & Zac’s consistent fielding & solid throws to Izaac at 1st base proved him to be a commendable pitcher and earned him Player of the Match.

 Sharks U/10  - 23/10/2009  Score: 24 to 18

Today was our first Friday night game under the lights at Palm Meadows. The Sharks really came together as a team on the field assisting each other with outs and cheering their batters on.
Zac, Paul & Mitchell hit 2 base hits and our Player of the Match Jordan hit 2. Guy caught a fly out at short-stop & Zac, Paul, Chris, Isaac & Kyle all participated in the games outs on the bases.

 Game Report - Rd 2 17/10/09

The Sharks continue to put in great effort & teamwork this week. Our batting was really consistent with many outfield hits including 2 base hits by Kyle, Eli & Guy who also hit a 3 bagger along with JJ Lundberg-Rowlands & finally congratulations to Kyle who hit our first homerun & scored our team 4 points. Our fielding has come along nicely with an increased amount of confidence from the players however, our player of the match was Jordy Negrine for his wonderful job on second base and his solid hitting, 
keep up the great work Jordy Negrine!
