Date of Game 13/3/2010  -  Score SP 7 – Robina 6

Great game by both teams. They played like a team working together and communicating with each other. The score was back and forth until the final inning where we got 3 key runs to take the lead at the end.

Alex Ryan was a key lead off hitter, scoring 3 times with the final run being the tieing run.  

Ryan , Kahleb, and  Ben all pitched really well and showed our depth. All the extra practices in fielding and defense is really paying off!

Well this week we started out with a quick 6 runs in the top first with a grand slam home run by Brodie Lyon. Kahleb Williams came out throwing like someone on a misson and kept his focus on strikes right from the first pitch. Georgia Armstrong also had her first home run of the year, Girl Power! We would also like to thank Sam Bailey for filling in this week with a few missing players.

Well it was sad to see but we let one slip by this week. The kids just couldn’t get going and had a few key errors and poor hitting. Ben Grant was the starting pitcher and did his very best to keep the Runaway Bay hitters in check. Let us hope we can bounce back this week against top of the ladder Robina.

It was a very early game this week and the kids were slow to arise from their slumber. We had some outstanding pitching from Kahleb Williams and Ben Grant to keep control of a big hitting Mudgee team. The rest of the team kept up the hitting to keep a slight lead through 3 innings but lost the lead in the 4th inning. The kids loaded the bases in the bottom of the 4th with the #4 hitter, Brodie Lyon coming up to hit a GRAND SLAM HR on a 3-2 count!! The inning stretched out just enough to get the time and game call and the victory for our 5-0 start.

Game Report for:  14/11/009    Score:  SP 14-11 Runaway Bay

Once again we were back at Runaway Bay. Once we got going on the field the kids were ready to play. Ryan Gersonde once again had a nice pitching outing with strong backup by Brodie Lyon behind the plate. We had a few kids ( Beau Selwood and Zac Gibson) giving the pitching a try and did well. Ben Grant 3 for 3 and Brodie Lyon 3 for 3 did great on their hitting. As well the kids did well being more aggressive and swinging at all the pitches given them. We need to work on our defense a bit more as we had some ground balls missed and was throwing the ball around too much allowing for extra bases.

Game Report for:  7/11/009  /   Score:  SP 9-7 Runaway Bay

Another victory with some timely pitching and hitting. The team started with 6 runs in the first giving starter Kahleb Williams a nice to lead. He pitched 2 very strong innings giving up only 3 hits. We next saw Bianca Lyon and Brodie Lyon try to stay off a rally by Runaway Bay with Ben Grant coming in for the final 2 outs.  Kahleb Williams gets the MVP for the week.

Under 12 Major Dodgers - Game Report - 31/10/09

Well we had a tough battle this week and came out with a 9 - 7 victory over Runaway Bay! We should be playing Robina this week for our wrap of the first round of games. Our pitcher/catchers combinations Ryan/Brodie & Ben/Alex did a great job controlling the game again this week. The hitters took advantage of the 10 walks given up by the other team to put some runs on the board. Brodie Lyon was swinging for the fences today and was 3 for 3 in his at bats!

GAME REPORT - 24/10/09   - ( Score - 21 - 0)

We kicked off the season with a nice win against Mudgeeraba. We started the 1^st with a 3 run lead due to some patience at the plate and taking the walks given us. Ryan Gersonde was the starting pitcher and breezed through the first 3 batters in 12 pitches! Brodie Lyon kept Ryan on target with some brilliant work behind the plate. The game stayed 3-1 until the 5^th inning when the boys and girls scored 8 runs, with a big 3 run double from Georgia! Ben Grant came in on relief and pitched 2+ nice innings to get the save.  Everyone played hard and took the win home.

Wow and great come back by the kids! They started out flat and gave up a quick six runs and then 5 in the second. This was a total team effort by everyone on the team to make the strong comeback and tie up the game in the bottom of the 5th inning.
